What happened to the days when we actually expected politicians we voted for to at least pay some lip service to Black issues? I’m happy to have been able to vote for a Black man in the primaries too, but in the immortal words of Janet Jackson, “what have you done for me lately?” Thank goodness Tavis had the integrity to call Obama into question for not attending the State of the Black Union forum. It seems like a natural expectation that Obama would want to tell Black America what his plans for us are, right? And maybe get a little insight from others in attendence?
